Constipation - Blockage Troubles!

Constipation is something we have all suffered from at one point or the other – some of us more than others. Of course, it isn’t the most pleasant thing to talk about and neither does one ever really want to know the coarser, grosser details of what goes on down under. But unfortunately, since it does affect so many of us, writing about it is necessary and I’m sure many of you will find this information helpful. 

The most common symptoms that a constipated person experiences are facing extreme difficulty in bowel movements; which basically means you sit in the loo, moan, groan and grunt but don’t manage to push anything out. You may also feel excessively bloated, constantly sluggish and experience a general uncomfortable feeling.

What causes this to happen? There could be many reasons honestly, but the most common reasons for this horrible experience are usually a poor diet and little or no exercise. Believe it or not, this is incredibly common and in fact, a complaint about constipation is one of the most common gastrointestinal complaints, that’s what the doctors say! 

In most cases, thankfully, this is just a temporary phase and we can return to our normal lives soon. For some, this occurs very frequently, and for others, this condition can last for days. While in extreme cases, doctors do prescribe drugs and laxatives, the easiest way to get out of this uncomfortable feeling is a change in lifestyle. Changing what you eat and including fibrous food in your diet, your nutrition and your levels of physical activity can come together to make a great change and get rid of constipation.
